EMPLOYER-PAID TERM LIFE INSURANCE

Alief ISD automatically provides Basic Life and AD&D insurance for you through Lincoln Life. Administrators receive $60,000 worth of Basic Life; professionals receive $25,000 and all others receive $15,000. Benefits reduce 35% at age 65 and 50% at age 70, and 15% at age 75%

Group life insurance allows you to purchase affordable life insurance on yourself, spouse and dependent children. This is term insurance, available if you are employed by district. Employees enrolling in the coverage after the first 31 days of their employment will be subject to insurability and must complete a health questionnaire prior to coverage being issued. All basic, optional, and dependent spouse insurance reduces to 35% at age 65, 50% at age 70, and 15% at age 75.
