Eligible dependents must be claimed as an exemption on your tax return.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 dependent care contribution limits are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$7,500 for single taxpayers and married couples filing jointly<\/li>\n<li>$3,750 for married individuals filing separately<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible dependents must be children under age 13 or an adult dependent incapable of self care.<\/li>\n<li>Contributions are not loaded upfront.
