New Employees
New employees have 30 days to enroll in benefits outside of Open Enrollment*. Create a phone appointment with one of our Account Administrators to ask any benefits questions and enroll. Sign up for a phone appointment here: FFGANewHireBenefitsAppts.timetap.com.
*Exceptions to this rule must fall under the IRS Qualifying Mid-Year Event umbrella.
Qualifying Mid-Year Events
You cannot make changes to your benefit elections during the plan year unless the Benefits Office receives notification in writing within 31 days of a Qualifying Mid-Year Event (QME). If the Benefits Office is not notified within 31 days of a status change, no changes can be made until the next annual Open Enrollment period.
IRS-Specified Qualifying Mid-Year Events:
• Change in legal married status
• Change in number of dependents
• Termination or commencement of employment
• Dependent satisfies or ceases to satisfy dependent eligibility requirements
• Change in residence or worksite that affects eligibility for coverage
