The district’s medical plans are offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) network and provides 4 different medical plans.
You will receive a new Id Card from BCBSTX.
HMO plans will require that you select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and Specialty Access requires a referral.
Your pharmacy benefits will now be managed by Prime Therapeutics. Walgreens pharmacies are excluded. If you use Walgreens to fill prescriptions, transfers your prescriptions to an in-network pharmacy.

- Routine Preventive Care offered at no cost to the patient
- Must meet deductible before plan pays for non-preventive care
- In-network and out-of-network benefits – separate out-of-network deductible/out-of-pocket maximum
