Important Note for 2027 FSA Enrollment:

Our benefits plan year is transitioning to a new schedule. To align with our updated renewal cycle starting September 1, 2027, the upcoming plan year will be a short plan year spanning 8 months: January 1, 2027, through August 31, 2027.

How this affects your 2027 FSA elections:

1. Due to this short plan year, we will be prorating the maximum FSA plan elections accordingly for an 8-month period:
   1. Medical FSA Maximum Election: $2,333.33
2. Calculate for 8 months, not 12: Estimate your medical, dental, vision, and dependent care expenses for the period between January 1 and August 31, 2027
3. Fewer pay periods: Your total elected amount will be divided evenly across your paychecks between January and August (16 pay dates).
4. Available Funds:
   1. Medical FSA: Your full election for the short plan year will still be available January 1^st as normal.

A Medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an IRS-approved program to help you save taxes and pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered under your medical plan. You have a 2-month grace period to use your funds. Employees will have a Grace Period, which means date of service goes through 11/15/27 and the 90-day Run Out would go through 11/30/27.

• Your full election will be available to you at the beginning of the plan year.
• Be conservative – any money left in your account at the end of the plan year with be forfeited.

• Keep all receipts in case you need to substantiate a claim for tax purposes.
• Per IRS a household cannot contribute to the FSA and HSA within the same year.
